Basic Watch Knowledge
It is normal for some quartz watch hands and markers to be slightly misaligned. This is not a quality issue, as the movement of a quartz watch is powered by a quartz oscillator motor.
It is normal for some quartz watch hands and markers to be slightly misaligned. This is not a quality issue, as the movement of a quartz watch is powered by a quartz oscillator motor.
Watches should not be used in hot baths, saunas, or environments with extreme or fluctuating temperatures, as heat can affect the movement and compromise the watch’s timekeeping accuracy.
When setting the time, always turn the hands in the clockwise direction (turning the crown clockwise to move the hour hand is the correct procedure). Do not adjust the time counterclockwise, except for quartz two-hand watches.
Avoid exposing the watch to solvents, cosmetics, perfumes, detergents, and other chemicals.
When changing the date, avoid doing so between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM, as the date-change mechanism may be engaged and damage the movement.
Wristwatch WATER PROOF
Watches use “pressure resistance” to test their water resistance and indicate the depth of water resistance. This is based on theoretical pressure, and the unit is measured in BAR (atmospheric pressure). For example, 3 BAR = 30 meters of depth pressure, but this is not the actual depth for use in diving. During water-related activities, frequent movement and changes in the environment may significantly reduce or even cause the water resistance to fail. Please refer to the water resistance rating and its corresponding usage range for your watch.
Do not use the watch in hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, or environments with large temperature fluctuations. Do not operate the watch buttons or adjust the crown while the watch is underwater.
Different watches have different water resistance levels, so their corresponding functions vary as well. Generally, our watches have three water resistance levels:
Water Resistance Level 1: Water resistance up to 30 meters (100 feet) or 50 meters (165 feet), designed to withstand splashes of water and rain.
Water Resistance Level 2: Water resistance up to 100 meters (330 feet) or 200 meters (660 feet), capable of withstanding splashes and rain, and suitable for diving and swimming.
Water Resistance Level 3: Water resistance up to 300 meters (1000 feet), suitable for free diving or water sports.
Therefore, whether your watch is suitable for swimming depends on its specific water resistance level.
Attention:
1.The above are laboratory test data, for reference only.
2.In simple terms, if the watch has a 30-meter (100 feet) water resistance level, it is not suitable for diving to a depth of 30 meters.
*If your watch has developed condensation or water ingress, please take it to our service center or authorized repair point for timely inspection and repair. Do not delay, as this may cause further damage.
WATERPROOF PERFORMANCE
1.Water-resistant watches are generally divided into three categories: daily water resistance, enhanced water resistance for daily activities, and diving watches. It is recommended to use a watch with a water resistance of 200 meters or more for swimming and other water sports.
2.Generally, water-resistant watches should not be used in hot baths, saunas, or environments with large temperature fluctuations. Temperature changes can cause the waterproof seals to expand and contract, leading to gaps and accelerated aging, which can compromise the watch’s water resistance.
3.The crown must be kept in its normal position. For screw-down crowns, ensure they are tightly closed. Never adjust the crown while the watch is submerged in water.
4.The waterproof seals and crown of the watch should be replaced regularly, depending on usage.
5.In the autumn, winter, or rainy season, when the watch is suddenly exposed to cold, a layer of fog may form on the inner surface of the crystal. This is a normal physical phenomenon and will disappear naturally when the climate becomes dry. It does not significantly affect the movement.
